Please note, this is a very high paced class. you need to be able to follow and understand the principles that were already covered in Intermediate Photoshop class. We will not be teaching anything new on top of Intermediate class, except, tips and tricks of the industry, based on the combination of principles covered in the previous courses.
The course is based on Face editing techniques. The reason for the subject is that its hard to perform non-destructive Face editing and the editor is limited in what the final result may look like. All of the principles learnt in the course can be freely applied to the other subjects.
When presenting the course, the goals set before the students are:
- Understanding composites of a good image.
- Sound analysis of an image and its editing needs.
- Non-destructive editing skills and principles.
- Creating pre-determined editing outcomes: don't let the software carry you away.
Lesson 1:
- Creating a visual retouching reference based on make-up principles (creating illusions with light and shadow).
- RAW conversion as a starting point for editing.
Lesson 2:
- Image assessment.
- Skin clean-up using different techniques and principles, as well as their combinations.
- Learning to preserve skin texture.
- Skin tone correction.
- Usage of masks.
Lesson 3:
Retouching eyes and lips:
- Brightness of the eyes.
- Depth of the eyes.
- Colour corrections.
- Enhancing lip shape and lip colour.
Lesson 4:
Blush as facing shaping and mood creator.
Lesson 5:
Retouching hair:
- Hair colour.
- Stray hair.
- Grey hair.
- Creating volume.
Lesson 6:
Highlights and shadows enhancement for a polished look.
Lesson 7:
Methods and principles of non-destructive sharpening. |
