Requirements:

• Intermediate Photoshop with Shoots Imaging .

• Own computer or Notebook.

• Own Adobe Photoshop CS or Adobe Photoshop Elements software. (Adobe Photoshop CS (or higher) is better for this course as it also has rulers and guidelines, features that is not available in Adobe Elements)

Please not, in this course you will need the image adjustment and isolation techniques taught in Photoshop 101.

Description:

This is a fun filled, but not less technical and informative, course. Aimed both at people enjoying scrap-booking for a hobby, stock artists, as well as professionals that would like to offer extra services to their clients.

Approach to the course:

When presenting the course, the goals set before the students are:

1. Learns rules and guidelines of visually appealing layout.

2. Create a usable set of shapes and elements that can be re-used from one project to another.

3. Be versatile in colour variations and image combinations.

4. Understand dynamics of designing for print and web/e-mail use.

5. Understand font selection and usage.

6. Use filters and Layer effects tastefully.

7. Principles of “grunge” and background making.

Course outline:

We will be making a card and a letter sheet “You are my Valentine all year round!”. Through the making of this card, we will be focussing on all the different techniques needed to create elements for use in this card, and for re-use in other projects
