Requirements:

  • Photoshop101 with Shoots Imaging .

  • Own computer or Notebook.

  • Own Adobe Photoshop CS or higher.

Please note, this is a very high paced class. you need to be able to follow and understand the principles that were already covered in the Photoshop 101.

Approach to the course:

When presenting the course, the goals set before the students are:

  1. Skillful combination of adjustment techniques for non-destructive image editing .

  2. Understanding of the advantage that various colour spaces (RGB/LAB/CMYK) offer for editing.

  3. Non-destructive editing skills and principles.

  4. Create pre-determined editing outcomes: don't let the software carry you away.

  5. Maximize output and simplify editing process by writing custom action sets.

Course outline:

Lesson 1: Creating Actions and Batch Processing.

Lesson 2: Using channels for colour correction, noise reduction, selections. LAB vs CMYK vs RGB.

Lesson 3: Using paths for advanced selections. Isolation techniques.

Lesson 4: Working with text.

Lesson 5: Using Layer masks for finer image adjustments and masking techniques.

Lesson 6: Using Curves for brightness and colour corrections.

Lesson 7: Noise reduction. Selective blurring.
