Everywhere! South Africa - 2006/7 |
|
4 sessions
- Photography 101
- Camera with manual functions
- Tripod if you have one (preferred, but not essential) If you do not have a tripod, DO NOT buy a cheap tripod beforehand. It will be a waste of money as cheaper tripods can in no way give you the stability you need for longer exposures.
- Long lenses are nice, but again, not essential
- Own Transport to various locations on shooting day
- Sunblock
- It's going to be a long shooting day, so pack snacks and water!
After a theory session on nature and wildlife shooting, we will embark on a day of shooting, starting early in the morning to catch sunrise, moving over to morning shooting for wildlife. We will do some location scouting for our afternoon shoot, and then end of with evening shots.
In the theory we will look at composition, Focal points, Long exposure techniques, hides, general wildlife pointers, things to avoid, planning for light, etc On the shooting day we will work as follows:
- Morning: shoot locations at sunrise
- Morning: shoot details
- Morning: zoo
- Afternoon: Oryx Farm
- Afternoon shoot landscape at sunset
- Course Notes
- CD (with Full Colour manual if you want to have your notes in colour, explanatory images and video clips)
- Tea and coffee in Theory session
- Entry to Zoo
- Entry to Oryx Farm
